About Our Products
Sound:
Many will be dazzled, few will not covet our hardy mussette tone. The secret of our robust mussette tone is our compression reeds and custom voicing. Every accordion, before leaving the factory, goes through our voicing room. It is the last critical process in which we custom voice each accordion. Our compression reeds are all seperate and specially designed in order to properly mate with the bellows on any of our models. In order to bring out out lively mussette sound each set of reeds is custom voiced by one of our technicians with a special treating and tuning process.
16 Sphere Bellows:
Excalibur Accordions use a 16 sphere articulate bellow design, precisely calculated bellow folds allow the moving and compression of more air ensuring minimal effort by the player and creating richer and more lasting tonal response from the reeds.
Stability:
Perfect straight upper and lower butt assemblies are essential to proper installation of the bellows. Partitions are inserted between bellows and butt assembly to ensure proper seal and prevent warping. In addition as part of the highly technical german assembly process all woods are checked for moisture content. Our frame is full size and can withstand tremendous tension while elimination natural distortion from reed vibration and internal stress.
